How to download data you’ve shared on Instagram

Your Instagram data includes your photos, video comment, and profile information.

Instagram is owned by Facebook, and you think the platform doesn’t share your data with Facebook. Just save yourself the stress, and delete your Instagram account if you don’t want Instagram sharing your data with Facebook.

And if you care about privacy very much, you should read up all the popular apps terms, and you might stop using their apps. But all the same, all apps collect data. Instagram holds lots of it from the photos, videos, and information you share.

Your Instagram data includes your photos, video comment, and profile information. Once you request your Instagram data, it’ll take up to 2 days for Instagram to sends it over to you.

You can see all the data you have shared on Instagram and that which is associated with the Facebook page. To know how to download your data from Instagram — here’s is how you can do it from your Instagram account.

How to download your Instagram data

1. Open Instagram on your Android or iOS device, and click on your profile picture in the bottom right corner of your screen.

2. Click on the three horizontal lines at the top right corner of your profile page.

3. At the bottom of the menu, click on “Settings.” In the settings page, click on “Security.”

4. Under the “Data and History” section click on “Download Data” and input your email address to request your Instagram data.

Click on “Download Data” and input your email address to request your Instagram data.

Instagram says it may take up to 2 days to get all your data ready and sent over to you through email. Once it’s ready you can download it. Downloading the data shows your account information and everything you’ve shared on the platform.
