Wait, is every social media company now creating new section to get users out of TikTok. With the like of TikTok companies are now replicating the short-form video — Instagram Reel and YouTube Shorts want to join the 15 second video platform. And the company hope to gain more traction since it already has a good amount of uses.
“Shorts is a new short-form video experience for creators and artists who want to shoot short, catchy videos using nothing but their mobile phones.”
The new short-form video YouTube is rolling out for creators is called YouTube Shorts. The feature will first be available in India today and we roll out to other country in the coming month. But YouTube Short will only launch in beta mode for the mean time — and will let users, creators and artists make a 15 second video which you can be able to add music from a large library of songs, and YouTube plan to add more.
“We also recently rolled-out a prominent new spot for the create icon on Android, starting in India. We’ll continue to expand to iOS devices and in more countries soon. You can also expect more creation features in the coming months.” a YouTube spokesperson said in a blog post.
The YouTube Short video will appear in a dedicated section like the YouTube stories. YouTube says more features will be added and look forward in expanding to more countries few months from now.
Just when the US decided to put a ban on TikTok in the country — Instagram wanted to filled the space of TikTok with Reel by embedding it on the platform with 15 second video and some cool music to add but I think the company isn’t making and wave but time will tell.
