Starting December 1st, 2020, you can now assign wallpaper to specific chats in your WhatsApp. This is the new update for this month and more. Facebook wants to make WhatsApp more personal — and wants to let you customize the messaging app the way you like — with all the new features that have been introducing this year, next year is sure to be better, we might never know.
WhatsApp on December 1st announced a new update that brings a new feature, which allows you to assign different wallpaper to any individual chat. And of course, it’s all your choice — you don’t have to assign wallpaper to every chat — just choose the people you normally chat with. But if you want to, you can, to separate what’s what.
With this new update to the WhatsApp version, you can insert an image as the wallpaper or you can use color to differentiate the chat. And there is a collection of new wallpaper that’s categorized into Bright and Dark Albums. There’s no limit on how many custom wallpapers a user could choose to assign to different chats.
“Make your chats personal and distinguishable by using a custom wallpaper for your most important chats and favorite people, and you never need to worry about sending the wrong message in the wrong chat ever again,” WhatsApp said.
Apart from this new wallpaper collection, there is a new feature that lets you choose a different wallpaper for both Light and Dark mode. This means that if you choose different wallpaper for this mode — the wallpaper will automatically change when you switch to either Light or Dark mode.
With the new update, we’re sure that there are lots of features coming in. This aside, there is now a way for users to be able to search for stickers using text or emoji or browse through common categories. And that’s pretty nice because when you’re looking for specific stickers you can use emoji to quickly do a search and get what you’re looking for.
If you use stickers as I do there is something new for us. The World Health Organization’s “Together at Home” sticker pack is now available. And it includes support for 9 languages Arabic, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.
