A new update for WhatsApp is coming this week, and it will let users free up storage space with built-in storage management tools. WhatsApp storage management tool will help users quickly identify files, and delete them — you can even bulk delete if you want to clear out many files all at once.
WhatsApp previously released an update, and it let users check their storage usage for their chats, and easily free up spaces by deleting sections you don’t need. These storage usage sections will be different from the coming new update — and it will let users delete content based on different categories.
The new storage management tools for WhatsApp will feature thumbnails for content, and, data will be group into categories; like “chats or files larger than 5 MB”. With this, it will be easier for users to find and delete files that they don’t need, and big files that are taking much of their storage space.
The new tool will be rolling out to all users this week, and you will still be able to manage your storage the same way you check your “storage usage”. Once the new update arrives, you can manage your storage space here; Settings > Storage and data > Manage storage.
