A good time to switch on your Samsung Smart TV and let get started with your favorite family show, if you’re alone you could probably bring your neighbor to join you, or your dog if you have one — to make a memorable moment because Google Assistant is now available for Samsung latest Smart TVs lineup.
The new Google Assistant addition for Samsung Smart TV will be available for all its 2020 model lineup. Samsung previously had a voice command, which is the Samsung owned default Bixby Assistant. With the mic on the remote, you can use a voice command to control your TV. For you to use Google Assistant you’ll have to switch.
To use Google Assistant on your Samsung Smart TV, update your OTA, install, and then, go to Settings > General > Voice > Voice assistant, to change between Samsung Bixby Assistant and Google Assistant.
If you want to use Google Assistant, press down on your remote control mic button and Assistant will be activated — you can use your voice to change the channels, adjust volume, open apps, do control playback, and others. And you can also connect and control other smart home devices. Google Assistant for Samsung Smart TV will first be available in the U.S and will roll out to other countries every soon.
