One of the reasons for smartphones—is for you to know how to make your life easier, with a few simple steps we’ll guide you through features you can use to improve how you use Android. Android is packed with great features, and it comes with a lot of time-saving tricks.

With the new features introduced on the newer Android version, they are plenty of things you can use your device with.

1. Automate backup

You can save your photos automatically and never complain about a deleted photo from your device. With Google Drive, you can automatically backup all your app data, photos, video, call history, contact, and SMS.

Using the backup settings for your photos and app data will automatically save it to your Google Drive account. To save your photos make sure you already sign in, go to settings and head over to the system and turn on the backup settings.

2. Using smart lock

Make your Android automatically unlock at some places—like when your phone is near your body or you’re home or in the office, voice match, and trusted device. When you enable smart Lock, you won’t need to unlock your phone with your PIN, pattern, or password.

Head over to your settings tap on Security & Location then click on Smart Lock then enter your phone security lock pin or password and select the option and follow the on-screen steps.

3. Activate One-hand mode

Android comes with features for people who like using one hand to operate their devices. The one-hand mode lets you shift your screen to a smaller size, the feature may not work for all Android devices as it only supports newer Android phones.

Android lets you adjust multiple sound settings from the ringing tones, notifications, alarms, phone calls, and media sound. To enable this—move over to settings, tap on the sound and reduce or increase.

There is also a shortcut for this. Tap on your volume button on the side of your device to adjust what you are playing, when you do, a small box will pop up on the screen, showing which volume setting is changing. On the side of that box, you’ll see a sound sign or a small arrow pointing down, tap on it—and the box will expand to show multiple volume settings at once or a specific sound change.

6. Increase Text size

Tired of zooming off your eyes to see what’s on your screen because the text looks smaller, trying to read an article and you can’t see anything—you can adjust the size of the text in your phone setting. To change your device’s text size open settings and tap on Display and select the font size.
