Enable WhatsApp dark mode for Android

WhatsApp mode for Android is out, and you can turn it on with or without updating to the latest Android version. Android 10 and newer currently support the system-wide display dark mode. If you’re using Android 10 or newer here is how you can turn it on.

  1. Open your phone’s settings
  2. Scroll down to Display
  3. Click on Dark theme and
  4. your phone will go dark

Users on Android 10 and iOS 13 can use dark mode by enabling it in system settings. But if you’re using an older version of Android from 9 and below — you can turn on WhatsApp dark mode in the app Settings.

Go to WhatsApp, and tap the three dots at the top right corner of your screen. Tap on Settings > Chats, and under display tap on the “Theme” and select Dark to enable dark theme.

  4. And tap on Theme
  5. Select Dark

To use the device’s wide dark display, Open your iPhone Settings > Display & Brightness, and select Dark.
