If you received a zip file through email, you can extract the file by uncompressing them. Unzipping the file show all the content that the zippe upd file or folder contains.
You can use a Mac or a PC to extract the file, but what if you are not where the computer is, you can do that with your phone. Your iPhone can allow you to uncompress files and folders — Android can unzip too.
Extracting files on iPhone is simple when you use the Files app that was introduced in iOS 13. With the file manager, you can unzip your file.
Previously earlier versions were only able to unzip files through third-party applications, and now the new iOS version has the zip and unzips feature.
The zip feature was introduced for iOS 13 and newer. To use the Files app, you’ll have to update to iOS 13 or newer.
You can still use other third-party apps if haven’t updated to the latest version yet. You can try Zipped to unzip your file. But if you have the iOS 13 or newer you can use the Files app.

How to extract the zip file on iPhone and iPad
1. Launch the Files app on your iPhone or iPad, and then find the zip file that you want to uncompress.
2. Press and hold on the zip file, then select Uncompress from the menu.
The extracted files will be saved in the same location as the original zip file. A folder is created containing the files. To change its name, touch and hold on the folder, then tap Rename.
