Apple released an update to all its OS yesterday including the iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, and TVOS. The new OS update features incredible mode and widgets on iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. Just like Android, you’ll now be able to add widgets to your home screen.

You can start downloading the new OS today and get these awesome features — from watching videos in picture-to-picture mode to adding widgets to the home screen.

The software update also improves other application and let you set Chrome or Edge as your default browser.

Here is how you can update your iPhone, iPad to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS wirelessly.

How to download and install iOS 14 and iPadOS 14

To download and install iOS 14 can take some time and you won’t be able to use your device once the update is downloading.

Before updating your OS you’ll have to back up your device to iCloud or your computer so you have a copy of your important information and make sure your device is plugged into power and connected to the Internet with Wi-Fi.

Open your Settings app on your iPhone or iPad device and go to General. Tap on Software Update.

Tap on the option to Download and Install. If you’ve limited space on your device you’ll have to remove some apps in other to download the OS update. Tap Continue or Cancel.

Tap Install to update your iOS or iPad version now or you can tap Later and choose “Install Tonight” or “Remind Me Later”. 

If you tap Install Tonight before you go to bed plug your device into power and connect your device to WiFi before daybreak your device will update automatically overnight.
