How to set up Telegram two-step verification for additional security

Enabling Two-step verification on Telegram protect your account and restrict people from gaining access to your account.

Two-step verification is a must if you want to avoid loss of account and unauthorized access. Telegram has cross 500 million users, and that’s pretty far from WhatsApp’s 2 billion users, but it getting a hip on, just like Signal jump growth.

Enabling Two-step verification on Telegram protect your account and restrict people from gaining access to your account. With Two-step verification you can secure your account even if they have your phone number. Two-step verification for WhatsApp is also available.

The last few weeks have been a game-changer for the app. Since WhatsApp’s new Terms, many users have moved to the messaging app. Since you now use Telegram you might want to enable Two-step Verification for your account.

How to enable Two-step verification for Telegram

1. Open the messaging app on your iPhone or Android device, and click on the three horizontal lines in the left top corner of your screen.

2. On the menu click on “Settings,” and then tap on “Privacy and Security” and go to the Security section. On Telegram X, the security appears first, while on the Telegram app the security section appears after the privacy section.

3. Click on “Two-Step Verification,” and then tap on “Add additional password” to use if you sign to another device.

4. Add a password for the Two-Step Verification process and an email address to recover your password If you forget.

Your Telegram account is now secure, the verification method is successful. You will be asked your pin anytime you want to use Telegram on another phone. Doing this protects your account from unauthorized access person.
