Just cut-off the settings it’s useless, I know right. You’re probably thinking about that now. If anything happens to you take it for an instant, responders are going to go through your phone to see if they can get any information related to your health or your emergency contact.

As far as I’m concern from where I’m writing this even if you jump into the lagoon, people would hardly check your phone or even check for medical information. For crying out loud nobody know if these features existing here. it just you and your phone.

But for all of your phone features, this is one of the most important—although less useful here because your phone will probably crash too, just joking.

It’s easy to set up these setting in your phone in less than 4 minutes you’re accomplished and save the hassle of you thinking how you could probably pull this off.

What if they are no responder or medical personnel there to check the victim’s phone for medical information, and no special trained personnel is available then, most people may not know that this kind of feature is available and they are likely to check her phone.

People might not know how to get emergency contact or health conditional statements. Every ordeal personnel trained will check for your medical information and emergency contacts.

That why the emergency button can make a big difference in a smartphone, although some people don’t know what it uses for. They think it just there because of the screen lock but it promises more good to the user.

So if you don’t know how to set your medical information here is how you can set it up with your Android phone or iPhone.

Android comes with the emergency information features that lets medical expert get access to your health condition, it let them know the medical condition you may have and allergies.

How to setup medical information and emergency contact for Android

Here I know we have many Android devices, but it quite similar for all Android phones. Here are the steps to set up your medical and emergency contact information.

On your Android phone go to your settings and search for “Emergency information” using your setting search bar on top of the screen or you can go to the account section in the settings.

Once you find the emergency information click on it so it takes you to the section of the page and from there you can enter the appropriate details for the medical information and emergency contact.

In other to see if what you have entered is working and correct—lock your android phone and try unlocking it by pressing the power key, when prompt to enter your password click on “Emergency” and another page will open click on Emergency information and you’ll see your medical information and emergency contact

For iPhone user here is how you can setup your medical and emergency contact

Open the Health app and your iPhone and tap on your profile photo in the top-right corner and select “Medical ID” under the Medical Details section, followed by edit and fill out any of your medical information and emergency contact numbers. Make sure Show, when locked, is turned on.

After you’ve successfully entered the required detailed click done. And to view your medical information and emergency contact lock your phone and try unlocking it (but don’t unlock it) once it prompted to enter passcode click on “Emergency” and then Medical ID

Okay, you now know how to set up your medical information and emergency contact on your mobile phone and you’ve set yours as well.
