If you have a Google Account, the activities of your previous and current browsing is stored. And yes, they have a way of collecting your data. And of course, you can delete your Google Activity if you want to.
Google have a diary of you — on what you like, what you don’t like, and the apps you use most of the time. Your behaviors are in a diary called Google Activity. It contains all the online activities you do. But it’s only available for those that have a Google Account.
Three in every five-person have a daily routine of using Google service. And you can’t just seem to avoid using Google services. But all the same, you can control the information Google records of you from your account.
You can see, and if you like, delete your sensitive activities. You can manage your browsing history with Google. Whether you are using a different browser or a different device, you will still be able to delete your Google Activities.
You should know that if you are using the same Google Account for all your device. Your online activities will be recorded from all the device. And when you delete your Google Activity on one device, your Google web activities will also be removed from other devices.
Using Android, iPhone and iPad
This is pretty much the same from every device out there, because we are using the web, except, of course, you can easily go to manage your account through some of its apps.
If you are using an Android device, go to your device’s Settings > Google, select the Google account, and click on “Manage your Google Account.” Using any Google product, you can access the Manage account button.
For iOS, the step is pretty much the same, find the Gmail app, click on your photos and then “Manage your Google Account”.

- On your Android phone go to your device’s Settings > Google > Manage your Google Account.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open your Google Account. If you have the Gmail app, tap on your profile picture.
- Click on Data & personalization.
- Under “Activity and timeline,”click on My Activity.
- Click on the three dot and select “Delete activity by” time, day or the range you wish to delete.
- You can also filter the item you want to delete and click apply to delete.
- You can also delete your activity by date.

Delete your Google Activity Automatically
You can delete the activity in your Google Account automatically. On your Android phone go to your device’s Settings > Google > Manage your Google Account. On your iPhone or iPad, open your Google Account. If you have the Gmail app, tap on your profile picture.
Click on Data & personalization. Under “Activity controls,” click on Web & App Activity > Auto-delete. Tap the option for how long you want to keep your activity > Next and then Confirm to save your choice.
Don’t want to save your Google Activity
You can control most of the information that’s displayed in My Activity. On your Android phone go to your device’s Settings > Google > Manage your Google Account. On your iPhone or iPad, open your Google Account. If you have the Gmail app, tap on your profile picture.
Click Data & personalization. Under “Activity controls,” click on “Manage your activity controls.” And turn off the activity you don’t want to save.
Using your computer
If you are using a computer, you can access your Google Account with your web browser.
- On your computer, go to your Google Account. On the top left navigation panel, click Data & personalization.
- Under “Activity and timeline,”click on My Activity.
- Click on the three dot and select “Delete activity by” time, day or the range you wish to delete.
- You can also filter the item you want to delete and click apply to delete.

Once you delete your Google Activity from one of your device, it will also be removed from all your devices that have your email sign-in.
Delete your Google Activity Automatically
You can automatically delete some of the activity in your Google Account through your computer. On your computer, go to your Google Account. Click on Data & personalization.
Under “Activity controls,” click on Web & App Activity > Auto-delete. Tap the option for how long you want to keep your activity > Next and then Confirm to save your choice.
Don’t want to save your Google Activity
You can control most of the information that’s displayed in your Activity. On your computer, go to your Google Account. On the left navigation panel, click on Data & personalization.
Under “Activity controls,” click on “Manage your activity controls.” And turn off the activity you don’t want to save.
