The service will join other amazon owned  growing ad-supported show on IMDB and it gaming site Twitch, which also run ads on NFL games on Prime Video.

The new feature for the amazon fire TV is separate from amazon's ad-free subscription prime video service, the fire TV is reportedly called free dive. Amazon is in talks with top studios to license older TV shows for Free Dive.

That is the free dive will be similar to Roku channel which offer free ad-supported content on Roku streaming device and smart TV.
